More Malecon anyone?

The water NOW goes all the way up to the Malecon.  It's a few feet up on the wall, the big wall on the far right.  All the land shown here, and the lake wall are totally submerged.

Avocado Thief

 I saw this while out walking around town.

It looked a lot like a little man with a very long cane pole, fishing up in the trees...

I watched awhile then had to go over and inquire about it.  On closer inspection, I could see where he had spliced two cane poles together for double the length.  Then He created a sort of 'cup' device way out on the end of the pole.  Finally he stuck it into a neighbors tree and stole his Avocados.

I eat Avocado's several times per week.  But, I buy mine at the market.

Where do you find long cane poles?

A New Mural begins

 

Back in May upon my arrival in Ajijic. Someone had drawn this rough sketch on a wall.

November 14th and it begins to come to life!

It's gonna be a beauty!  I'll keep an eye on her.
