Electric Day 11.12 Wed.

No Promise... but i just saw a welder setting up a door on the Transformer at the end of my dock!

I walked up and said, "Fantastic - Electricity!" he looks up with his welder cap on backwards, kinda gives me a 'who and what are you' look and says, "MAYBE."

too little too late for me to get hooked up before leaving, but i am confident it will be here when i return. (2 weeks waiting daily but now i am confident)

gotta run. packing and driving to Dallas then off to Chicago.

Kemah, Texas 11.11.08

I am still waiting on Electricity and Water at the Kemah Boardwalk Marina. i am losing patience. (or learning it?) Have not lost sleep. Have not suffered. but....

I like these 'shades' and rain covers. this would be very nice today with all the rain we're getting. (the shade would be sweet in the summer!)

going to chicago tomorrow, for work. hope to have electricity, water and have it when i return after thanksgiving. (that's as patient as i want to be)

11.6.08 Public Library 'working'

Well my visions of sunny beaches and endless views may have been a bit premature.... here's my view yesterday.

I decided to wake up early, run the generator. (create electricity - since the Hurricane damage still does not have utilities hooked up yet. "any day now.") i made coffee, heated the water, shaved and got ready for a relaxing hot shower.... so without being 'graphic,' i was soapy and the water sputtered, coughed, and died. it took all day and 4 phone calls to Captain Craig to find the water tank valves. it seems i have 3 water tanks and had used up tank #1. so now i'm that much smarter than yesterday! still no view of the beach - but the suds are gone and they promise electrics tomorrow...

Driving to Airport to get Sister Jane of Seattle - "helping unpack." Jane had some vacation days and came to share them with me. her help was much appreciated!

We took the boat out and sailed galveston bay yesterday. No injuries. yippee! -skip
