TIRED! my nervous energy burnt off a few calories!
“I washed your dishes…
I cooked, so you were supposed to wash.
I cooked all three meals today.” -Lynne (are they headed for trouble in tinsel town? watch as it develops. Pirates diary)
It’s been a long day even though we actually docked by 4pm
and didn’t untie the mooring ball till about 11am in Sarasota. The elements were on our side with little
wind and zero waves. (it was flat
calm) We just motored along and Lynne
might be confused that this is what sailing is?
It all started this morning with a very thick blanket of fog
in Sarasota. It was after 8am before
things burned off and cleared up. Then
we got busy with departure. It was not
far by any standard, but Lynne has never sailed before so it was a ‘kid in the
candy store’ atmosphere with her naive excitement about ‘how sailing is.’
Tomorrow and Wednesday will let her know a little more about
HOW sailing really is. I’m expecting
increased breezes and seas each day. By
weeks end, she might be a sailor?
I hope it’s calm and smooth wherever you're sailing this Christmas. Xo skip
