The LCS is a non-profit Expat Organization
for promoting the betterment of the city
and all its peoples.
This is how it looked in June when I found it.
This is how it looks after the gardener "trimmed" the hedge.
I signed up for the Mexican Manners class and attended but did not receive a diploma. I also attended three weeks of Spanish 101 classes but only learned a couple of new words and concepts. (I did a whole LOT of cussing under my breath.) I got totally frustrated when called upon to diagram a sentence in Spanish. Heck, I couldn't read the damn thing, how could I diagram it? I finally bit my tongue and survived all three classes, but think I wasted my money. I would have done better listening to a 3rd grade class lesson at a local spanish school. (maybe a kindergarten?)
Here Gayla, our teacher, explains how I've been saying the same word wrong in multiple uses.
As another example Gayla writes her address to show how that works in MX. I asked her if I could send her a post card from back in the USA? She said, "yes, but it will never reach me. There is no Post Office in Ajijic. Some postage does arrive but it would take about a year."
Thank goodness most locals in Ajijic speak very good English!
