I had two separate work crews show up and climb the masts to install stuff today. Simultaneously.
They all said they had never seen two people climbing masts at the same time before. (i have not seen it either) I've been waiting months for these guys to show up and they all arrived today at the same time.
The forward group were installing a track on the Main mast to raise the spinnaker pole. The aft group were installing my new Radar. (*note: he is hoisting my $1,200 radar by a piece of string. i said, 'you break it you bought it.' they just laughed.) i could almost hear the money dropping from my wallet. remember the old gas station pumps that would ring as they turned over.... clang, clang, clang. $100, $100, $100, $100... i have no idea how much it cost me today. A lot!

I hope you all enjoyed sunny cloudless mid 60 degrees today! tee shirts and boat chores.... they are all gone now and i washed my decks. i'll eat pinto beans for a year to balance it all out?
After the crews left, i was invited over to Gerry's house barge (see it in the background) To share a glass of wine and the last of the suns rays across the marina.
