Tom told me it was cool. But, I was a fool. I didn't pack any winter clothes. When I worked on the boat in Stuart Thursday it was a "feels like temp" of 109 degrees. (thought I was gonna die) Now I'm atop a mountain in TN and it's a cold, windy and rainy 55 degrees. (Cold as in 'feels like' about 40 degrees.) I can hear the wind whining outside. The rain pelts against the windows and the wind whistles. I crawl into bed fully clothed for warmth. Long pants, and long shirt over an undershirt plus my socks on. (shoes off)
I listen to the rain and wonder how bad it must have been down in the keys when Irma first hit?
I'm going to close my eyes and ears and sleep now. Tomorrow is another day. Another grey dull cloudy low overcast COLD day up on the mountain. I'm loving it.
Today Tom took me with him to his "workout." Mistake, big mistake. I'm going to be so very sore. We did one hour of upper body lifting. Muscles i didnt know i had have been tortured beyond their endurance for pain. I can only hope they dont feel as bad as they seem to now.
If i'm not too sore, i plan to drive home tomorrow.
