Water water everywhere!
It has rained VERY HARD the last few days. Flooding type rain. The kind of rain that causes drivers to drown in their cars. Well imagine you have a boat on the land with holes cut in it. I haven't drowned, but i've had water enter the vessel. I went out of town this weekend. (P.K. lake for the 4th annual Casa La Cox P.K.Olympics.) i decided to stop by the boat on the way out of town. I wanted to allay any fears i had that there might be 'some small leaks' and water down in the boat.... There were a couple of 'smallish' puddles. There was also one large lake.
Fortunately i had placed a piece of plastic down on top of the cabinet and laid a couple of towels down "in case a little water dripped". (a little water?) i mopped up five - 3 quart bowls of water. 15 quarts from where this lake formed. Holy Toledo! After this, i went to Home Depot and bought more plastic to wrap the deck hatches and to double layer the NEW lake bed atop the dresser. i can only pray the rain stops and the darn damn holds.
I figure this can take a couple of gallons? (note: i informed the painter of the water and am allowing them to assume liability for any future flooding) but, i'm also covering my back side.
This guy was sanding the Million Dollar Hattaras yacht beside mine. they drape a tent and he goes in their in his hot suit to sand off old paint. Hot, dirty work. i just had to wring out some towels... keep your perspective! -skip
