Lynne left yesterday.
It is with
sadness that I must inform you, Lynne is no longer on Prodigal. Due to an Act of God, the engine problems
suffered and the time it took to fix it have changed the plans. We had to
eliminate her position as crew. It’s so
late in the season now after the boat repairs that a trip south to Grenada is
no longer feasible. Plus the cost of the
repairs having taken a fourth of my yearly cruising budget has forced me to
reduce expenses, thereby forcing layoffs in the crew… Lynne will be missed and we all wish her
well on her next adventure.
I had several
people today ask “where is your wife?”
It’s going to take awhile for life to get back to normal. (whatever normal is on a boat)
