Sunset Saturday. "the calm before the storm." We sailed down to Bahia Honda Key, about 12 miles. ~ 2 minutes by Helicopter, ~18 minutes by car, ~2 hrs by sailboat.
we went below after a nice relaxing swim to cool down and found the generator was not cooling the rear cabin. (Craig and Angela's room) so... Craig decided to rewire the electrical for the airconditioning. first you open back up all the windows and things heat up, then you drag all the tools out into the hall ('passage aft') and cuss, and bang, and cuss. this takes till about midnight. finally Craig gets everything running like he wants and we retire to bed, A/C is on and it's cool. Thirty minutes later a rain squal hits with 35 mile per hour winds. i awaken to the 'movement of the boat.' hear howling wind and pelting rain. (bouncing around on the chain tosses my head in the air. i'm in the front of the boat) Craig and Angela stayed up in the cockpit to watch the anchor till things settled back down. i decided to test my "sealegs" by going back below and immediatly falling back to sleep.
Craig re-wiring the Generator / electric panel at 11pm.
