Yesterday was a long day. I lost count of how many times i opened and closed the hatches. It started at 4:45am when a howling rain storm hit with zero warning. Light breeze with no rain and then instantly a bucket of water in my face. Normally you get some sprinkles and tiny drops to gently awaken you to get up and close the hatch. This time a squall blew in so fast and furious that it went from light breezes to a full on gale instantly. Also it didnt sprinkle, it dumped a fire hose of water in a torrential downpour with no warning. I jumped up and closed the hatch directly over my bed, then ran around ALL OVER the boat closing hatches. By the time i got to the front of the boat, the floor was soaked. So i had to grab a towel and dry up the puddles. Good Morning! All day it would sprinkle and then a little later another squall would blow through dumping huge loads of water.
I'm just thrilled to have a break with sunshine to open every hatch and get a fresh breeze down through the boat to air things out. Imagine how hot, sticky, and stuffy it gets when you have to close all the hatches.... (trust me, you cant imagine it.) Now, cook supper! It can become quite unpleasant.

I hope it's sunny and fresh with cool breezes
wherever you are anchored today!
