ASCA - American School Counselors Association is having a convention in Seattle and i'm trapped behind a desk - ENJOYING - cool weather! it's been in the low 70's and even down into the 50's at night. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh this feels good after 107 in Kemah.
Another Friday night at the Kemah Boardwalk. i climbed up onto the 4th floor of the Parking Garage and got some shots of the fireworks. (every friday in June - through the 4th of July)
ShadeTree Awnings. is it cooler in the shade? heavy duty reflective silver exterior with insulated white undersides. (like having your car in the shade instead of sitting out in the sun) I LOVE THEM.

Kemah Boardwalk Marina has Fireworks every friday night through the 4th of July.
Jay and Jen Johnson invited Craig, Angela and i for a delicious dinner, and then out on their boat Friday night to see the Fireworks from out in the bay.... magic on the water.
The tough part was holding the camera still enough to shoot low light on a rolling boat anchored out in the bay.

It was a perfect evening with a breeze across the water to keep it cool.
i hope it's sunny, warm and beautiful wherever you are this summer! Happy Safe 4th.
when we got back to Jay and Jen's, we had homemade 'coconut milk ice cream with dark chocolate chip chunks.' (2nd best ever made)
i had a footnote on my last post. i reported that i had gotten a haircut...

So here is my Mullet Report for June 2011. I got tired of hair in my eyes, the heat, all the trouble it took to be so beautiful... i got a haircut. i can now shower and wash my hair in seconds.
I'm afraid i have gotten lazy and sloppy, falling behind in my writing. I returned from Philadelphia and have since gone and returned from Anaheim for the California Dental Assn Show.
Now i'm back in Kemah doing some boat chores and getting ready for a show in Seattle at months end. I had a Marine Mechanic on the boat Tuesday this week to work on my refrigerator. it was not cooling properly. Put some Freon into the tank, and tighten the fittings and now i have ice again. (let's monitor this one for the future!) It's HOT down here. possible 100 degree's today. i ordered some new sun shades for the boat. (back in January i met the owners of ShadeTree Awnings while working in Mexico. super nice, cute couple. They cut me a deal.) This should really help having an 'umbrella' over the boat. (we'll monitor this too)
One day while home i went out on Craig and Angela's new Power Yacht - Going Coastal. We also had our friends Jay and Jen on board for a relaxing cruise.
