Still Painting... s/v Prodigal

My neighbour said i should paint the deck myself...   then i saw this car in the parking lot and started thinking maybe it's not always best to paint it yourself.

So i pulled the boat out of the water again and it's on the hard at another Marina being painted - Professionally.  

 

This should be TOTALLY finally finished end of next week.  (weather depending)  The entire boat will be painted "like new."  

Last week i had a problem with the aft bilge pump.  The wires got loose and wrapped around the drive shaft, ripping themselves out of the pump and float switch.....      darn!   i had to spend several hours over three days crawling around on my stomach in the engine room re-wiring the bilge pump.  Now it's all back in good condition.

 This required running new wires.

Vegas Baby!

I've been working in Vegas the past two weeks.  Yuck!  

One night we had a 'work meal.'  My boss is shown here on the left.

On other nights my boss was not invited.

 Steve Fenwick of the San Diego IATSE Union, Local 122 celebrated his birthday one night.

The union brothers made him a bronzed head of --- what else?   Stevie.
