Last Day of Boat Repair?

Sister Lynn, the question sister asked for less work stress and more pie, so here is my desert from last night.  both a scoop of vanilla and chocolate ice cream, almonds, banana and coconut shavings drizzled with dark chocolate sauce.  no stress!
After lunch a 'group' of Manatee gathered near Prodigal for what appeared to be a mating dance.  It could have been a football game with all the piling on I could see?  This went on for about an hour in the very shallow water.  I finally got bored with it and had a nap.

Today both Diesel Don and Jason are working on the boat.  I'll write more on that after I have more ice cream.  the retirement solution is more ice cream and less stress.

Tranny - Shaft ATTACHED. FINALLY

MY OLD TRANNY SHAFT.  *note: they are not straight in alignment.

NEW TRANNY SHAFT ATTACHED, engine straightened.
We also moved it left to right and kicked the rear around to straighten it up.

original placement, too high and offset to starboard.
after engine move. level and straight

Old frozen rusted leveler bolts and nuts
to lower the engine, we had to remove one nut aft.  Don had to use a torch to free it.
a torch and a pneumatic hammer, plus a big cheater wrench and lots of torque.

to MOVE the engine we used a hydraulic jack
Jason watched.  (and helped some)

APPLE PIE!!!!
Pork Chop

I'M CLOSER to having it finished.  The divers came by and put the prop back on.
Don didnt finish the dip stick drip helacoil today and we are also going to replace the old rusty shift cable to the tranny.  all else is good.  (but needs to be tested)

Keep working and eating PIE!     xo skip
