Well, my mom has written at least three times asking me to 'post something.' i guess i have fans that need to know!
i wish i could claim all sorts of excitement since i wrote last. but it would be a lie. it's just been a very hot summer! nothing too eye opening. i spent a week baby sitting David Cox's dogs in Fort Worth. (that was actually quite nice) but i had to work most of that time on budgets for the office. i didnt get to lounge by the pool or read near as much as planned.
Next was a 30 year SubT reunion golf outing weekend in Austin. i did enjoy that greatly. some of these guys got old. fortunately i stayed young and handsome! the golf was average, the laughter was record setting.
In August i replaced the forward AC unit. we suffered through record high temps here and finding the air-conditioner dead was a great blow to my morale. imagine coming home through 105 degree temps to find your boat blowing hot air inside. well that's been fixed.
Next i hired a man from Honduras - Sonnis Y Castro to redo the varnish work on the exterior of the boat. it took him and his crew a solid week in this hot august heat. i was thinking it's the best money i ever spent!
in addition to these boat chores i have been doing lots of office work. i have turned out 3 new contracts for clients. plus put together two shows on the computer. i will be flying next week to San Francisco for 2 back to back medical shows.
my office sent me a new laptop to replace my old worn out one. (im typing on it now) it's brighter, faster, with a solid internet wireless connection. funny, i feel toward it like i did my old one when it was new. isn't that always the way...
there MOM, im caught up.
