2012 Memorial Hermann Kemah Triathlon.
This year the Kemah Triathlon will cap with at a total of 1,500 athletes, 800 for the olympic distance (boat start, Alcatraz Qualifier) and 700 for the sprint. Last year we sold out just before race morning. This year we are expecting to sellout well before, sometime in February/March. Register early and save. This year, in addition to our 1,500 athlete cap, we are expecting an additional 2,000 spectators and over 500 volunteers. To increase the size of the event we have decided to combine both the sprint and the olympic distances into a one day event on Sunday, April 29, 2012. Courses will be relatively close to what they’ve been the past couple years with the bike course(s) going South/North on 146 and West/East on 96 and the run course(s) utilizing the Kemah Boardwalk and Clear Lake Shores. We hope to see you out there the last Sunday in April for our best event to date.
