Sarasota Departure scheduled. Monday 12.12

Moving South w/ a Co-Pirate.  We have a departure scheduled for in the morning.  *The first day is only about 15 miles down the coast...

I've been busy helping Lynne pack, sort and move aboard.  It's been hectic and stressful.  Neither of us has cried yet, so that's a good sign!  (i almost did today)  Yesterday as we arrived at my marina it became very apparent that the annual Christmas Boat Parade was quite the big deal.  Further they closed my marina to traffic and visitors.  This presented some small hurdle to get to the boat.  We made it with seconds to spare before the boat parade started.  Just gun the motor and jump across in front of all the pretty boats....

We have almost everything packed down below deck now and a plan to leave in the morning.  *Watch the spot to see where we are.  I'm expecting about a week to get down to Marathon.  It should be:  Sarasota - Venice - Gasparilla - Fort Myers - Marco Island - Shark River - Marathon.  We have a few spare days built into the schedule for relaxing as needed.  speaking of, i need to sleep now.  It's been a beating the last few days.     xo skip
