Crane Point Museum and Nature Center
Mile Marker 50 to you local Marathon Wharf Rats. Or you might say, "Across from Winn Dixie and Publix markets." There is an interesting Nature Land Conservancy owned by the Florida Keys Land & Sea Trust, Inc. The nature trails meander around the 63 acre tract in a 1.5 mile loop from the Point to the old Crane house (built in the 50's) and on to the Original Adderley House built in 1890 by Bahama expat George Adderley. *check out his digs! In addition there is a Wild Bird Center where injured birds are treated and allowed to recover before re-introduction to the wild. There is even a 'Cracker House.' Note: we saw butterfly, a shark, snake, a hundred big monster spiders, osprey, jelly fish, baracuda, pelican, hawk, falcon, iguana and lots more...

Hey! Jim and I are keeping up with your ongoing adventure and life aboard your sailboat! Love all the wonderful pictures! We are trying to get freed up to take a trip to Florida for Jim to look at some boats he has found. We will get in touch if we ever get down around where you two are.
