Happy New Year 2017

First, the visit by David Cox and John Daniel has fallen through the cracks.  Events beyond their control back in Texas.  *We will have to reschedule when i'm down island somewhere?  Perhaps the BVI's?  (Good Luck not bringing Scooter on that one!)

Second, the new mooring ball is so relaxing and dreamy!  I dont worry about us dragging anchor, Pirates or storms.  Plus it's about $300 per month and comes with weekly 'pump outs', and dingy dock privileges.  It's also about a mile closer to the shore than where we were anchored and the dock at Pancho's.  So I'm liking it.  *drawback:  zero internet in the harbor.  i have to drag my laptop to shore and sit in the marina to blog.  (good with the bad)

Third, Happy New Year!  we survived a very mundane celebration that ended at about 10pm when i fell asleep.  At midnight lots of fireworks woke me for a minute or so.  Then i was back asleep ushering in 2017 in a dreamy fashion.

Yesterday they had a "Polar Bear" jump into the harbor and i watched.  (careful to stay back out of range of the splash!)

We also drove down to Bahia Honda Park to check it out for a future day sail.

Today is laundry day and a quick trip to the grocery store.  Next i will either work on my lengthy to-do list or take a nap.  Lots of tough decisions in 2017.   I want to be better prepared than this guy's spare tire.  i want to start my voyage with the spare in good shape!

May all your Pirate encounters be with friendly ones!
