During this whole Jib process i found a very frayed Jib Halyard. (yikes and good catch) This will need repair and 'why' did it fray? I dont want that to happen again. It could break when I'm out under sail at Sea.
The sail shop is Mack Sails, the maker of the Mack Pack. (Sailors know what' I'm talking about) It's like a cloth purse that the sail falls down into to protect it from harmful UV rays.
I have gotten some 'worried contact' about my safety from people. One touching email was from Mike Henderson, an old softy known for his feelings... (truth is he is an old jack ass i worked with at PSAV for 25 years.) Mike lives in California. Mike wrote, "Irma la douche. Have you seen what's headed your way? At least the earthquake that kills me will be a surprise." We can all only hope that Mike's demise is soon and sudden.
I still have 2 more days to work. Tomorrow i remove the Main sail and the Mizzen, plus the two Mack Packs. Then i have to lower the dingy and put it up on deck upside down, tied down. Last gather my 'stuff' and tie up the boat with all the ropes i own. Run away! - Peg leg
