I saw the dinghy for Northern Ice on the dock yesterday. Looks like he filled up with water and diesel fuel and early this morning he played the bag pipes on deck as he motored out of the harbor. Yes, that's unusual even for here! I was down below and heard "something" so i hurried up on deck and was amazed to find a boat going by at 6:58 am playing bagpipes. He played them from one end of the harbor to the other on his departure, taking about an hour to navigate it all. (I met him at church Sunday and he mentioned that he was the only bag piper in the harbor, which i believe.)
Lots of boats are departing. It appears they come for the 'cruisers regatta' which I saw the end of upon my arrival February 24th. They announced there are 263 boats in the harbor currently, on the cruisers net radio show, from a high of about 500.
A front is blowing through the next few days so i plan to get some things done and read a book!

Glad you got a picture of his dinghy - I liked how he shortened the boat's name. Did he share where he was headed during the morning call?
Nice video of the bagpipes being played too. The sound sure does carry out there!
