Rick flies home tomorrow so today we did all his favorite things.
Eat and Drink! Eat and Drink! Eat and Drink!
Eat and Drink! Eat and Drink! Eat and Drink!
We attended the Chat and Chill Pig Roast lunch.
It was a lot of fun and very delicious.
Great people watching too... I met groups from Sweden, Germany and even Canada. Turns out that on Sunday the resorts nearby ferry their groups over to the island for the entertainment using the local water taxi. ($20 round trip, $15 one way) So the traditional dirty, scroungy boat people were rubbing elbows with the washed and beautiful for the day. Fun and very very beautiful.

where the boat people arrive
While watching a very competitive volley ball game, this 3 year old created a game stopping scare. His dad said, "i think he stole someones food?" to which another replied, "well aren't you going to do anything?" His response, "Hell NO. If they cant watch their food, i cant stop a hungry 3yr old."
Oops. forgot to mention that it's Regatta season. They had some races this morning and I got out in the middle of it in Prodigal. I decided to move across the anchorage and drop over near town so the dinghy rides for Cousin Rick and Ryan would be less dramatic. After Ryan arrives I'll move again. Back across the harbor near the beach and away from the actual town. (maybe)
It's great to be safely anchored and through with that part of the journey. Now i'll celebrate by doing laundry and cleaning up from where everything was thrown* during the many days at sea.
(*one example: my little kitchen timer sits up on a shelf to monitor the entire galley. I found it back in the aft cabin where it landed after falling, rolling, bouncing. The face to the timer was up in the main salon. How they got separated and traveled opposite directions is beyond me. I do realize it took an eight foot bounce off the cabinet. To remedy this i applied velcro to both surfaces and she now sits way up on her ledge with face reattached as happy as can be.)
But for now it's late and I'm tired. So I'll check the anchor and the lights, then crawl into bed a tired happy Pirate. -Skip
