well, the talk about the roads was not an exageration. they are 'rustic' and crazy. i made it without being crushed or pushed over a mountain. suffice it to say - imagine any car chase scene with no guard rails and then play bumper cars on it. i drove about 50 miles and it only took me three hours. its almost all straight up or down with winding switch backs. i thought i was lost but only because i never saw any towns listed on the map. (i guess i blinked each time?)
im in Jaco on the pacific coast. i got in right at dusk. i am on my way now to find that perfect lobster dinner! i hope you are enjoying your vacations too.
