Today was pretty easy. Check the oil in everything again, motor over to the marina and fill up with diesel. Clean up the spilled diesel down below... Eat lunch and try to take a nap in the cockpit. About five pm i was putting something away and 'noticed an off smell' in the pantry area. The exact same spot i pulled the beautiful crisp sweet melon yesterday. Today a half bag of potatoes was desperately trying to turn itself into vodka right there in the cabinet. three of the potatoes had committed suicide. turned to mush. i picked up the bag and about a cup of 'juice' spilled out. On the counter, the floor, the wall. i bought the potatoes the same day i bought the melon. WHY? why did three of the nice potatoes turn to a mush? they were like a puff pastry that was soaked with water. And oh my the SMELL....... yikes. Thank goodness i have rotten potatoes spilled inside to mask the odor of spilled diesel fuel from earlier! Who needs Febreze? I have soggy rotten potatoes!
So i'm anchored back where i was before. Have more than enough diesel fuel. Life is good.
Now, what's for dinner?
