I had a complete stranger - a homeless guy - walk up to me last night during my stroll to the hotel asking; "hey buddy, can i borrow $8.47 for a drink?"

the 'freaks' and homeless share the sidewalks. it's a unique city. I'm here working 2 conventions, back to back, till Sept 24th. today was pretty brisk, but i plan to rest the next two days...
