docks la paz

Friday La Paz, MX 12.12

We made all our connections yesterday without a hitch! DFW airport to Cabo then a cab to the Bus Station. They were loading luggage for our non-stop 'exclusive class' bus to La Paz. we climbed right from the Cab into the Bus. didnt even have time for buying tickets, whisked away into the desert and along scenic vistas up the coast. La Paz is rustic, a rather large town but not spoiled like Cabo. it's not been 'americanized.' Lots of great restaurants along the waterfront on the Malecon. (photo below)

NOW IT'S FRIDAY MORNING and we are rested and sitting in the Marina Hotel restaurant. our room is on the 3rd floor of five in a kind of vanilla creme colored hotel, all balcones and ocean views, right beside the Moorings boat rentals and sits on the Malecon. i have wireless internet in the hotel. perhaps my last chance to post for 5 days? we climed on the boat last night at dusk. like pirates boarding... its: spacious, roomy, big.

have a very happy holiday. i'll have a lot to tell you when i can find internet again!
