Chicago, IL for business / ASHA

I'm working this week in Chicago, at the McCormick Convention Center. The only real point of interest was the first two days when the exhibit floor doors were open and it was snowing in on me. It's Cold in the windy city!

Cancer anyone? Basal Cell Carcinoma..... anyone?

I went to the Dermatologist on a referral from my primary care physician, to remove a small "age spot" on my arm. Doctor Karen Sra, whom i now LOVE says, "long as you're here let's check you for any skin cancers.  hey there's a spot on your back we should test."  I'm sure by now you are way ahead of me... Basal Cell Carcinoma. Today she cut out the rest of it along with another spot beside it that "just didn't look right." It's not malignant, not metastasised, not life threatening. But it's darn scary. I'll go back in 3 months to see (my favorite dermatologist) Karen Sra to confirm i'm all perfect again.

I hope you are enjoying a lovely Cancer Free Monday!

Prodigal Boat Work - Rigging

I had a crew come out and check my standing rigging to insure the Mast's would not get knocked down in a strong wind.  In addition i had them install a new light at the top of the Main mast.  All good.

Remembering the Happy Life of Lilly Williams, as Mom died October 12.

After Dollar Bill and Diamond Lill Williams enjoyed 61 years of marriage, Mom passed away at 84 yoa from complications due to Pneumonia.  "A force to be reckoned with, a fine Christian woman", will be missed by all who knew her.

San Diego

I recently had the great fortune of having to work in San Diego.  Not only did i play golf one day, but i managed to get out to the beach.  This is Mission Beach, just a short 10 minute drive north.  Yes, California is full of weirdo's.   I know, i was there and felt right at home in the middle of them...
