Soon Sailing Mexico. Nov. 05

I cant wait to catch that first 30lb tuna. (sushi baby!)

today while doing some research i was looking to see "what fish we CAN and can't eat." i ran across something about squid in the sea of cortez. i knew they were there - just didnt realize how many or the size. from an actual report.

""Alex Kirstich, a National Geographic videographer working at night in the Sea of Cortez. Kirstich was shooting a school of five-foot Humboldt squid 30 feet below the surface when he was “mugged” by three squid and gang-dragged down to a depth of 70 feet.
“They took his camera, his necklace, his dive computer and gave him some nice bites around the back of his neck,” Cassell says. Cassell was attacked by what Gilly would refer to as a “bad-ass” squid—an eight-foot, 300-pound monster Cassell dubbed “Scar.” ""
im excited to know i will be swimming between whales, hammerheads only to be eaten by a squid. I'll be their Calamari. (my only hope is that my red swimsuit will repel them)
i'll keep looking for recipes. SKIP
