It's Tuesday. Must be a work day?

Hey Buddy, can you spare a dime?

I was out on my bicycle last week doing my daily exercise ride around town when I ran across two separate Pan Handlers.  I gave each of them a $5 bill.  They both said thank you and I think they both meant it.  But one of them was young, cute, with freckles, and gave me a box of cookies.  I am guessing the five bucks probably helped the ugly one more...

It's not my job to judge.  Just hand out fivers.

Today I'm going to be out riding around town again.  It's the Florida Dry Season and the weather is perfect.  high in the upper 70's or low 80's.  No chance of rain.  After lunch (at the Super Taqueria) I'm going again to do volunteer work at the Food Bank.  It's my way to give back to the community.  I cant hand out fivers to every hungry person in Fort Pierce.  But I CAN volunteer and help feed the hungry!

I hope you are safe, healthy, and well fed wherever you are today.         -Skip

Shotguns anyone?

My neighbors Morris and Marie, on the boat All Hans In, next to me at the marina, invited me to "their shooting club." Quail Creek Plantation.  "We had a BLAST!"  Per usual, I misunderstood.  In my mind it was going to be an indoor range where we shoot pistols.  Turns out its two separate courses of outdoor Clay Pigeon shooting ranges.  Each course has 14 separate shooting platforms.  Some elevated and others at ground level.  The mechanical skeet throwers are programmed at different speeds and throw all over the place.  (it was all way beyond my training level.)  I think the last time I used a shotgun was back in high school.  My shoulder is very sore today!  Feels like I was kicked by a mule.

I finally got home

Three weeks for a weekend getaway....

I was trapped for over a week in Fort Worth for The Texas Deep Freeze.  After the snow had melted enough - a week on freezing hold - I drove North to Oklahoma to visit my brothers family.  Had a short visit in OK and then drove on to Arkansas for another visit.  Lastly I stopped off in Navarre Beach, Florida for the final visit and then home.
