Whirlwind Tour & a quick return to Kemah TX

I'm in Kemah, TX.

Staying at the Yakel Bird Aviary.  Angela and Craig have a lovely home and an open door policy for the homeless like me.  It's been a great visit and fun to catch up since I've been retired and gone.

Kemah is about 45 miles S/E of Houston on Galveston bay.

I ran into Rosa and 'her daughters' at lunch today in Kemah.

(If it weren't July, I would swear this was another Christmas Miracle.)

It's been a great visit and fun to catch up with old friends all along the way, but it's time to be heading back east to the boat.  I've been gone since July 3rd and am anxious to see how things are and to get ready for my next adventure.  Also, i need to find a 'new' old bike to buy.  All the best - from the road.

Next Stop Possum Kingdom Lake.

7:10am before the noise and madness began

It's been a fun weekend at the lake.
Whether watching deer eat corn at the end of the driveway or watching the Power Boats race across the lake, you cant turn away for a second!  I dont know who won the Poker Competition, nor do i care, but it was a blast to see the boats, chopper, and plane buzzing - very loudly - across the lake just out across from the dock.

Oklahoma... where the wind comes streaming down the plain

All is well in the big OK.  I got here on Sunday and have enjoyed visiting with family these three days with plans to move on to Fort Worth tomorrow.

Here are a few photos from Searcy that I never posted.

After leaving Arkansas
I have been visiting in
 McAlester, OK.
