A 'shopping spree' in Tlaquepaque

My girlfriends, Carol and Cindy, invited me

to go shopping with them in Tlaquepaque.

(Tu-locky-pocky, Mexico)

Carol is a local to Ajijic after moving here from the desert of Baker California about 3yrs ago.  Cindy is her daughter who moved here in August.  I have fooled them into thinking that I'm a good person, homeless and helpless in need of comfort.  Hey, whatever works!

At the last minute Carol decided to not go and instead Rich and Janice went with us.  I didn't buy anything but took a lot of photos.  Tlaquepaque is a suburb of Guadalajara, a very large city of about 5.5Million.  So it was a constant challenge to get photos that were not crowded by the many shoppers out there with us.

Salesman Diego Yeo, son of the owner and all around great guy!
INCREDIBLE hand tooled leather purses priced reasonably.
(here they are $300, in the USA the same item is $3,000)

A cute couple relaxing together on the square.
A cute couple visiting from Paris
A very handsome local couple

This same guy was on the square in Ajijic, back on June 4th, my 3rd day here, and I got his photo.  He remembered me, and the other hat he was wearing that day when I met him and photographed him.
I have no idea what's going on here

A massive 'Dagwood Sandwich'.
(that's me, on the right)

It was a great day and everyone had a blast, bought some stuff, and THEN
Carol surprised us with a fantastic home cooked meal.  I love Carol!
Ahhhhhhhhh Mexico!
