Awlgrip 545 Epoxy Primer

Can you say - Wow?
It's starting to look like a paint job instead of a disaster...
They got the second epoxy primer coat sprayed on yesterday.  (so today it rains)
Next is the paint.  Then the Non-skid and it's finished.

Painting in Progress

They are working on the boat - PAINTING.  Well, really they aren't technically 'painting' yet.  But the preparation is evident.  There are several steps in the process.  First, clean and sand, then clean again...  Next spray an Interlux2000e barrier coat.  Then sand and clean, Next spray 545 Awlgrip epoxy primer.  Then sand and clean.  Next spray Interlux paint on all the deck and cockpit.  Then clean and tape off for the non-skid paint.  Finally put it all back together - like new.  (i hope)

The work is being done at the Marina far right.  (i can see the mast)

Another example of why i chose to not paint the boat myself.  Yes it's less $$$, but...

California for work

I just returned from a week of work in California.  CDA, California Dental Assn.  Love the client!  (note: you fly into John Wayne airport.  dont be scared)

It sits directly across the street from Disney Land.  (i didnt cross the st)

Lots of lovely dental hygienist - who all like me - to work with.   ha ha.
