DAY 2 - Miami Skyline across the bay

Prodigal is anchored off Key Biscayne
across from the Miami Skyline.  We have chosen to stay here a day of rest and relaxation.
(I'm tired)  The crew is doing great and everyone is in good spirits.

Yesterday was a great sail with 50% chance of rain it stayed cloudy and cool the entire time.  Also miraculously we never got rained on till last night just after we had closed all the hatches and settled down for bed.  All day long we watched dark rain clouds sneak past us, all around us and even over the top of us but no rain ON us.

Last night Robbin was in charge of dinner and made a delicious Italian pasta dish, 'with lemon zest.'  (she came up on deck and asked me "Skip, where is your lemon zester?"  I laughed pretty good over that.) Today we will hang out here and rest, do some chores, and tonight cook Conch steak in the pressure cooker.

This little cove against Key Biscayne is PACKED with day boats coming over to relax and play. After dark they all leave for their home ports and arrive about noon'ish. Up on deck it sounds like the battle of the bands.  Lots of very loud latin music competing to see who is the coolest!

Still have a couple of things to do and then hopefully sneak in a nap?      xo skip
