We got a few minor rain showers, but the storm was well East of Destin. Its a lovely glorious day here now. Light breezes and sunshine. AAaaahhhhh the Pirates Life for me!
You cant hear it, or even really imagine it. But from my cockpit i can sit and listen to the live band at Boshamps each night. I'm anchored just out in front of their docks and have enjoyed using their WiFi and listening nightly to the music. I'll miss that, and the Oysters with Bacon!
Tonight i cooked chicken with brown rice and squash, plus fresh sweet corn and you guessed it - PIE. The peach pretended to be my salad and i drank milk with it. Happy Labor Day!
Today - after the Hurricane preparation i got to practice taking the outboard back down off the deck and putting it onto the dingy. (then i rode to shore and got boat parts - and PIE) You use the block on the Mizzen mast to raise and lower the outboard motor. It's very manageable using that block and tackle.
