San Miguel 12.20

Hotel La Mansion del Basque.

a wedding in the church.

THUR. 12.20

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

Well im keeping exactly to my schedule. Have gotten a Siesta every day! Had such a nice rest yesterday I almost missed the sunset shot I was after

Not much planned. Another trip down through the Jardin for lunch. I found a little patio sitting on the square that has the BEST Aztec soup. (I would call it tortilla soup) it´s about $7us for a large bowl and a beer. (cerveza) lots of people watching down there on the main Jardin.

After lunch I will walk north UP until I can see over the city. Take some shots then stroll down to my siesta. Have met some nice folks at the ´´shared´´ dinner via the hotel. (at the Xmas holiday rate your breakfast and dinner are included with the room rate, which is higher because it´s Xmas) a group of 9 ppl traveling as a group left today. So, they all went out last night on the town leaving just Ruth and I alone to share a table and some nice quiet time and conversation. She came down here to study art in the 60´s and never left. Oh, from Memphis, tnn.

Here are some photos. Promise to try and pick more. But, since i´m so darn busy it´s tough to work this into my schedule.

Sunny and warm again today. It´s cool in the early morning when you first wake. Today was 6:30am so I could go through some photos and get ready for my day. I lit the little deathtrap heater till after my shower. Making sure to get it turned off! Then left the windows open because about 11am it heats up. It´s almost short weather between 1p and 5p, then it cools off again. By 9p it´s cool enough for a light sweater. It´s 11am now and warm on the sunny side of the street. If you heat up, you cross to the shade. (like a lizard you self regulate) also, I had a lady stop me on the street yesterday. ¨¨sir you are looking pink.¨¨ so I am wearing my spf45 today.

That´s about it. Had huevos Mexican today for breakfast and for dinner it was Corn beef and Cabbage. I asked Ruth if they ever cook ´mexican´food. ¨¨well skip, it´s all grown in mexico and cooked in mexico, so it´s all Mexican food.¨¨ who can argue with that?

Gotta run now before it gets too hot and I bore you to death. It´s prime people watching time. Maybe I need to change my internet time to later in the day instead of now…

Happy Holiday.

Skip

Ps. They are playing the soothing sounds of Rod Stewart and the big band here in the Net CafĂ© today. It´s so interesting to hear what they will be enjoying. No Mexican music yet.
