I dont feel young, but i'm not quite old.

Thanksgiving 2015

What are you thankful for?  

We are all so very blessed, 

it's tough to pick a favourite. 

Are you thankful for the first turkey on the rotisserie grill?

Are you thankful for the second turkey in the smoker?

Are you thankful that friends add a chair to their table and invite you over?

Are you thankful for your Thanksgiving Dinner?

Are you thankful because you have apple pie?  (or pecan, or pumpkin?)

Are you thankful for another slice?

 I met my dear friends Mel and Mary in Denver at Convention.
I'm thankful for my family and my friends.  All my friends.

I'm especially thankful that i have friends from my youth - 50 plus years.

I'm thankful they put up with me!

"Old friends."

Kemah is a quiet little village on the gulf.
Here is an old one room schoolhouse that sits on the corner a block away.
I'm thankful for where i live.  
Not just on a boat, but on a boat in a great location.
Dock Rats enjoy good food and drink and we have a lot of that.

It's a lovely place to live, but i think it's time to start planning to move on.  To sail away.  
I'm very Thankful that i am healthy and wealthy and capable of having choices.

Denver for "work" - yeah right!

I am in Denver this week for work.  As fate would have my brother and sister-in-law flew out to Denver to visit my nephew and his wife for the weekend.  Also my sister was driving cross country with her oldest son to Portland.

They were all also in Denver, all on Sunday afternoon.  

About 5pm we had the Perfect Storm....

On Monday after work i got to enjoy a great visit with Jose Cadena and his lovely family.

SNOW wednesday

OOPS i did it again...

Well, color me stupid!  yesterday i spent time to load 5 new books onto my Ipad.  i started one and got very invested in it.  

So, this morning i put the Ipad onto the charger to insure it would be 100% charged so my short flight would be energized.  (it was almost 94% before i did this)

You are already way ahead of me?  I'm at the airport sitting in the gate area and when i reach for my Ipad i flash to the memory of plugging it in....   it's still sitting on the counter on the boat.

When i get home in a week - it will be 100% charged!

Here i am 'old school.'  $9.00 for a paperback.  Ouch!
