Who, What, When, Where, Why?
I met this couple a week ago. Out riding my bike to the grocery store, they were sitting back in the corner across the parking lot under a shade tree. As I peddled past the lady asked me "if i had a cigarette?" I didn't, but I gave her a few bucks so she could buy some. Today I found them in a new parking lot and stopped again to chat with them. I asked where they were from? 'Up north.' It turns out that he 'just got out of Prison.' While he 'was inside' she got 'sent to Jail for a few weeks.' When she got out, 'all her stuff was gone.' So now they are homeless and all her stuff is gone. He said, "It was my first Felony." (like that explained it all) I can only imagine that they will have some tough times ahead trying to find work...
I gave them a few more bucks and left them with a "God Bless."
Did I do enough? What else can i do?
