Safe in West End, Grand Bahama Island

We enjoyed last night tied up in the marina, West End.  Old Bahama Bay Marina.  $89 dock rent / $2 per foot, plus a "mandatory water fee" of $15, and $7.81 tax.  (electricity is about $35 more but I didn't need any)  Total $112.36.  A good nights sleep in the Bahamas....  PRICELESS
This guy walked by Rick and I later and tossed us a gallon ziplock with a massive hunk of grouper.  We cut it in fourths and had half of it for dinner tonight.  aint life grand!

After a great breakfast we borrowed a bicycle from the hotel next-door and road into town to the grocery.  En-route we met Ms. Mable and saw the sprawling hamlet of West End.  It's a very small town on the water with obvious recent hurricane damage.  (probably old damage too)  A little before noon we untied Prodigal and motored just outside the marina to anchor the night.  After a quick lunch (and my short power nap) we worked on several boat chores.

In the morning we will start moving East across the Little Bahama Bank toward Marsh Harbor.  I expect it will be few days before we see more internet.  Till then *you can see our location via the SPOT.  [right hand column]
