Street Market ~ Tianguis

Tianguis (tii-AHNG-ghees)

"Market day goes back to pre-Hispanic times when covered weekly markets would sell food and goods in villages across Mexico."

The Ajijic street market, known as the tianguis, is held every Wednesday. It's located on Calle Revolución. The market is a traditional open-air market with vendors selling fresh produce, meats, fish, clothing, and various household items, as well as local artisans showcasing handcrafted goods.

One vendor sells only peppers.
