Ajijic sits nestled up against Lake Chapala surrounded by mountains. Guadalajara is 4.5M, while Ajijic is about 7,000ppl.
With mountains on one side and the lake on the other, all the little towns and villages are strung out in a straight line. The road runs east and west, (except to go north to Guadalajara.) Each little local has a different flavor, Catholic Church and town square. If you've seen one, you have not seen them all. You've only seen one!
