s/v Prodigal and boat work

Well I'm officially retired.  Now, truth be told i still have some expense reports to turn in, but all the other work is finished.  They are asking for me to send back my work laptop, ipad, and mi-fi hotspot device.  So i went out Friday and bought myself a personal laptop.  I spent some time today getting it set-up.

Last week i did some boat work.  First, i TRIED to get an out of water survey.  But the new auto pilot busted my hydraulic steering.  So we had to scrap the 'drive' the boat to the marina and reschedule for after we get the steering fixed. (we are on hold for parts till maybe tuesday)  it's always something...

While i was out of town on my last convention i had a spot in the floor fixed.  it had suffered some 'de-lamination' and a slight rotting.  Russell Legg of U.S. Yacht Restoration did the work.
While Russell was on board, i had him also add a back to the settee adding more storage behind.

Our agreement was that i would have him 'rough in' the woodwork and i would finish it.  So i spent Memorial Weekend doing some stain and varnish work...

Note: each of these pieces of wood is individually cut and fit together.

In addition to the woodwork, i had a new Radio Installed by Matt from Car Toys.

Here are 2 sets of new stove pot arms.  These hold the pots on top of the stove even when the boat is moving and rocking.

I also found these local shots this week.  A local dog grooming shop painted a mural on their wall and a lovely flower floated into the dock yesterday...
