I'm not going to starve

Sam Portolese, General Manager at Sunset Bay Marina & Anchorage gave me a ride to the grocery store today in his personal car.  The marina staff has really been going out of their way to help me acclimate to the marina and to being a cripple.  When we got back to the marina i used my crutches to transit the dock, but a staff member carried my cart of food for me all the way to the boat. Thanks everybody!

I never dreamed i would be racing around the local Publix Market in a 'cripple cart.'  I went up and down every aisle at the breakneck pace of about 2 mph.  (i could have walked it faster on my crutches)  But the basket held a huge supply of badly needed food.  I didnt even feel silly or guilty to be using the cart.  So, i must be truly good and injured!

On another NOTE:  I got an 'interesting' call this afternoon.  (It showed on the screen to be from Pennsylvania.)  A computer generated voice telling me that 'the IRS has turned over my past due account to the FBI and they have a warrant out for my arrest.'  Then it gave me a number to call TODAY to fix this problem.  i sure wish the FBI would make personal calls and not use computers and call back numbers....    I'm just too busy to be always calling the FBI on my warrants.

Thank Goodness the FBI didnt try to take me down in the Publix.  I can just imagine the 2mph high speed chase with me making my slow get away in the cart...         -Peg Leg Skip

Whoa!! Slow down speed racer!!! Next thing you'll need is a cripple tag for your car.
