FOODs of the Netherlands

Hutspot (a hearty winter potato sausage dish)
Ice tea at Janes house, using ALL the ice in the house.  It was explained to me, "in a country that's always cold we dont usually need ice in our drinks."

Super Groovy Cosmopolitan shoppers cruise the markets in Maastricht.
Amsterdam - Tulip bulbs.  
At the height of the tulip market, bulbs could sell for $1,500eu each.  
Then during the second world war they were digging them up to eat...

Bekki and I thoroughly enjoyed this post. Did Jane tell you the story of us picking up the turkey at the butcher shop you highlighted? Also, Bekki said that "Hakey is beautiful." Mentioned something about you being handsome too, so don't feel left out.
